History of Pub Quiz

Somewhere in a dimly lit pub in 1970s England, a genius looked around at a room full of people drinking and thought, “What if we could keep them here longer… but trick them into thinking they’re getting smarter?” And just like that, the pub quiz was born. Fast forward to today, and it has evolved into a chaotic mix of confidence, collaboration, and completely wrong answers delivered with absolute certainty. At DEF CON, we’ve taken that idea and cranked it to eleven; adding hackers, questionable life choices, music rounds, movie scenes, and just enough chaos to make you doubt everything you know. It’s not about being right. It’s about sounding right, arguing passionately, and writing something hilarious when you have no clue. Welcome to the DEF CON 34 Pub Quiz.
